WAYFINDER'S CHURCH
About us
Wayfinder's has three big ideas:
1. Exploring the Way is a journey of discovery about who Jesus is and what his way involves. When we say that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, it is about knowing and following a person who is The Way. And it is about a person who reveals a life-giving way that will change both ourselves and the world. Jesus as the way is about uniting with the Father through Jesus Christ and experiencing the flow of his life and power by the Holy Spirit.
2. Encountering the One who is the way is about getting to know Jesus personally. We encounter him in the book that speaks of him, through engagement in prayer and by the unique experience of His presence. In relation with Jesus, we are changed and discover the heart of God for ourselves and our world. "those who say they know God, will be like him."
3. Impacting the world by living in The Way is about a way of being that brings life and healing and freedom to others in this world. Jesus healed, lifted, liberated and fed hungry broken people. Originally the followers of Jesus were called followers of The Way. Living in his way involves discerning and applying that way in the 21st century.
Statement of Faith:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. 2 Cor. 4:7
